Historic antimony, gold and tungsten production.
Many gold-antimony, tin-tungsten and lead-zinc-silver occurrences in the Valongo Belt, a NW-trending belt roughly 70-80 km long, just to the east of Porto and striking to near Viano de Castelo on the northern Portuguese coast. The Valongo belt is largely comprised of the Hercynian-aged Valongo Anticline.
