This mining area is actually a continuation of the Kadoke-tat mines.
The gem-bearing marbles are light blue and yellowish white, with medium to coarse-grained texture, usually associated with sphene, pyrite, diopside and scapolite. Bedding direction of the ruby-bearing marble is about NW 10°.
The mining methods and logistics are similar to those at Kadoke-tat. - Ted Themelis (2008) Gems and Mines of Mogok
