Mississippi valley type (MVT) lead-zinc deposit.
It has been observed that the Caixiashan Pb-Zn deposit occurs in the first layer of the first lithologic member in the Kawablak group, and the ore-bearing strata are mainly dolomite marble. There are four mineralization alteration zones in the mining area, namely alteration zone I, II, III and IV respectively. Alteration zone II has the best mineralization. Main shapes of the Pb-Zn orebody are stratiform, lenticular, vein or sac. It is possible to classify the mineralization process of Caixiashan Pb-Zn deposit as the four primary periods, which include: (1) an exhalation deposition period; (2) a hydrothermal mineralization period; (3) a dynamic metamorphism deformation period; (4) a supergene oxidation period. It is possible to further divide the main mineralization period of Pb-Zn mineralization into the following three stages: (1) a tremolite stage; (2) a sphalerite-pyrrhotite stage; (3) a galenite-sulfide stage. The tremolite stage occurred before Pb-Zn mineralization.
