Outcrops, pockets, and seams of pegmatites and leucogranites injected into amphibolites, schists, and quartzites appeared in the area.

In the pockets of the pegmatites of the area, beautiful and aesthetic crystallizations of tourmalines of the rubellite, elbaite, and shorl species/varieties appeared. They were accompanied by beautiful striated dodecahedral crystals of garnets of the spessartine and grossular species of honey orange colour. These minerals were embedded in crystals of quartz, feldspars (microcline, orthoclase, and albite) and micas rich in lithium (lepidolite and zinnwaldite).

Other minerals that appeared in the area are zeolites (analcime and laumontite), other species/varieties of tourmaline (achroite, indicolite, foitite and dravite), dumortierite, diopside, some micas (annite, biotite, muscovite, and sericite), cordierite, apatite, epidote, amphiboles (hornblende) and putative amblygonite.

The first mineral deposits were found in 1995 by a young man named Miguel, now deceased. The young man lived near the area, and he was the one who found the first specimen of tourmaline from such a site. Other gentlemen of Malaga, fans of mineralogy yearn that they were the discoverers of such a deposit, but in reality, it is not true, since they try to possess achievements that actually correspond to the true discoverer.

Currently, the area is almost completely empty and overgrown but with luck, some crystals of tourmaline, quartz, and feldspar may appear in some almost extinct pegmatites.

En la zona aparecieron afloramientos, Bolsillos y filones de Pegmatitas y leucogranitos inyectados en Anfibolitas, Esquistos y Cuarcitas.

En los bolsillos de Las Pegmatitas de la zona aparecieron bonitas y estéticas cristalizaciones de Turmalinas de la especie Rubelita, Elbaita y Chorlo acompañados de bonitos cristales dodecaedricos estriados de Granates de la especie Espessartina y Grossularia de color naranja miel, tales minerales estaban incrustados en Cristales de Cuarzo, Feldespatos (Microclina, Ortosa y Albita) y Micas ricas en litio (Lepidolita y Zinnwaldita).

Otros minerales que aparecieron en la zona son Zeolitas (Analcima y Laumontita), Otras especies de Turmalina (Acroita, Indigolita, Foitita y Dravita), Dumortierita, Diopsido, Algunas Micas (Annita, Biotita, Moscovita y Sericita), Cordierita, Apatitos, Epidotas, Anfiboles (Hornblenda) y supuesta Ambligonita.

Los primeros depósitos minerales fueron hallados en 1995 por un joven llamado Miguel, actualmente fallecido. El joven residía cerca de la zona y fue quien encontró el primer ejemplar de turmalina de tal yacimiento. Otros señores de málaga, aficionados a la mineralogía anhelan que fueron los descubridores de tal yacimiento, pero en realidad no es cierto, ya que tratan de poseer logros que en realidad corresponden al verdadero decubridor.

Actualmente la zona se encuentra muy expoliada y rebuscada pero con suerte pueden aparecer algunos cristales de turmalina, cuarzo y Feldespato en algunas pegmatitas casi extintas.

Description: En Trascastillo la Dumortierita apareció en una pequeña Pegmatita rica en litio y boro, junto a la elbaita, cuarzo y microclina . Mineral raro en la zona ya que solo aparecieron muy pocos ejemplares. Las muestras se presentan como pequeñas fibras azuladas incrustadas en el cuarzo.
