Outcrop of lazulite-quartz veins in phyllitic mica schist at 1020 m asl, 100 m SW of Höllkogel. Located in the upper Freßnitzgraben, just northwest of Alpl. Last visit by FB: 8. August 2023.

NOTE: The article by Bernhard et al. (1998) is a little bit misleading in the way that not all minerals listed in this paper occur at Höllkogel, but at the other lazulite occurrences in Krieglach and Mürzzuschlag. Paragonite, augelite, hydroxylherderite, kyanite, pyrophyllite are not known from the outcrop at Höllkogel, but from other lazulite localities like Ocherbauer Inn, Fürstenbauer, Rotriegel, Traibach etc.

For locality map see "Krieglach".
