Val Duron is a 12-km-long side valley, which extends west from Campitello di Fassa to Passo Alpe di Tires/Tierser Alpljoch (Catinaccio/Rosengarten Group).

Analcime, mordenite, and natrolite are widespread zeolites in Val Duron; on the contrary, harmotome is a rare zeolite here. Very few millimetre-sized twinned crystals of harmotome, in association with fibrous radiating aggregates of mordenite and chabazite crystals, have been reported from the area among the localities of Pozzates (Pozates), Sofos, and Pra Molin (Cotta Ramusino & Giuseppetti, 1972).
