Named for its relationship to hingganite-(Y), plus the Levinson "-(Nd)" suffix in allusion to the dominance of neodymium in the structure.
The Nd analogue of hingganite-(Y). As zones in Pakistani hingganite-(Y). Second Nd-Be mineral after gadolinite-(Nd).


Hingganites from Bacúch deposit, Slovakia, are locally enriched in Nd, with Nd-dominant areas having 17.8-18.7 wt.% Nd, accounting for ca. 0.56 apfu Nd.
