Chert-hosted metasedimentary Paleozoic manganese ore, contact metamorphosed by granitic intrusion. Mining started in 1956; now closed. Main ore minerals were pyrosmalite-(Mn), rhodonite, manganogrunerite, spessartine and manganoan fayalite.
