The Northern Belle pit is a portion of the Candelaria Silver Mine. Mining has consumed portions of Northern Belle and other unnamed mines.
Structure: Candelaria fault cuts veins at depth.
Deposit: Bg = 0.025 mr/hr; high = 0.15 mr/hr. The Northern Belle was the first mine developed in the district. There is no adequate mineralogical explanation for the high content of silver in the Northern Belle. Galena is scarce, and no native silver or silver compounds have been identified.
