Based on the recent exploration campaign, the deposit contains an estimated rare metal ore reserve of 330 Mt (with 0.6 wt% Li2O, 0.13 wt% Sn, 0.01 wt% Ta2O5, 0.10 wt% Be, 0.23 wt% Rb, and 0.01 wt% Nb2O5). The orebodies (the mineralized granites) are present as layers or in lenticular form and dip to southeast at a dip angle of 60°–75°. The orebodies are 200 to 300 m in length, with a thickness of 50 to 300 m. The orebodies are enriched in Li, Rb, Cs, Nb, Ta, Be, and Sn. The GCGP has an exposed area of nearly 400 km2, extending 30 km in length and 16 km in width from west to east. Three types of granite intrusions make up the GCCP: two-mica monzogranite (TMG, previously dated at 144.0 ± 2.1 Ma), topaz-bearing muscovite–albite granite (MAG, previously dated at 138.45 ± 1.11 Ma), and felsite dikes. The felsite dikes intruded into the TMG in the south in Tong’an village.
