Granitic pegmatite type Cassiterite U-Pb age: 208.1‒199.3 Ma Li2O resources: 660.87×103 t; Li2O grade: 1.34%.
The Dangba LCT pegmatite-type lithium deposit is situated in the southeastern part of the Ke'eryin composite pluton. The exposed stratigraphic units in the mining area include the Zagunao Formation (T3z), Zhuwo Formation (T3zw), and Quaternary deposits (Q). The Zhuwo Formation (T3zw), the most widely distributed unit in the region, accounts for over 95 % of the area and serves as the primary host horizon for mineralized pegmatites. Its protoliths consist of gray, medium- to thin-bedded metamorphic feldspathic quartz sandstone, feldspathic lithic sandstone, and rhythmic interbeds of silty slate and slate. Locally, thick-bedded sandstone intercalated with slate and slate-dominated intervals are observed, with the rhythmic alternation of sandstone and slate representing a distinctive feature of this formation. A total of 11 confirmed ore bodies (Ⅰ,V -VIII, XIV-XVI, XX, XXIV, and XXVI) have been identified in the Dangba mining area. These ore bodies are all hosted within granitic pegmatite dikes. Medium- to small-scale ore bodies within Li-bearing pegmatite dikes generally exhibit full-vein lithium mineralization, resulting in simple morphologies that align closely with the pegmatite dikes. Ore bodies exceeding 500 m in length include VIII, XV, XIV, VI, Ⅶ, and XVI, while those with Li2O resources surpassing 10,000 tonnes comprise V, VI, Ⅶ, VIII, XIV, XV, XVI, and XXIV.
Its status as the largest albite-spodumene pegmatite deposit in Asia, with identified Li resources of 1.12 Mt Li2O at an average grade of 1.33%.
