Köppen climate type:
The Bada Cu–Au deposit is situated in southeastern margin of the Qiangtang Terrane in the Himalayan–Tibetan orogen.
Cretaceous strata, consisting of the Nanxin and Jingxin Formations, are widely distributed in the Bada Cu–Au deposit, mostly dipping eastward. The Nanxin Formation is characterized by feldspathic quartz sandstone and conglomerate, while the Jingxin Formation comprises calcareous siltstone, argillaceous (carbonaceous) slate intercalated with quartz sandstone. Quartz monzonite is the dominant porphyry types, with monzonite as a subordinate component and occasional lamprophyre veins. Porphyry-type stockwork alterations, including potassic alteration (K-feldspar + biotite), propylitic (epidote + chlorite), phyllic alteration (quartz + sericite), and argillic (kaolinite), occur in the Bada deposit.
