The Changgou ore zone is located on the southwest side of the complex. It consists of more than 10 polymetallic ore bodies that predominatly E-striking, steeply dipping south in upper portion (200 m RL to 0 m RL) and transit to shallow dipping in lower portion (0 m RL to −300 m RL). The western portion being dominated by lead–zinc mineralization whereas the eastern portion is dominated by gold-copper mineralization.

The Changgou deposit is located west of the Jinxiantou deposit, and exposed sedimentary strata within the deposit belong to the Mesozoic Cretaceous sequence. Mesozoic sub-volcanic complexes are also widely distributed in the region, showing a close spatial relationship with ore formation. The deposit, containing 10 polymetallic orebodies, is mainly characterized by overlapping Cu and Pb-Zn mineralization. The Changgou deposit contains 0.28 Mt Cu and 0.95 Mt Pb-Zn reserves, and is classified as a small-scale Cu-Pb-Zn deposit with average Cu and Pb-Zn grades of approximately 0.57 % and 0.85 %, respectively. The Cu-Pb-Zn orebodies trend approximately EW, striking 100° to 125° and dipping toward 190° to 215°. The major orebody is controlled by nearly EW-trending faults and exhibits vein-type mineralization, averaging 0.94 % Pb-Zn. Pb-Zn mineralization prevails toward the west, transitioning eastward to Cu mineralization, demonstrating clear metal zonation.
