Podmoky is a village and municipality (obec) in Havlíčkův Brod District in the Vysočina Region of the Czech Republic.

The municipality covers an area of 9.69 square kilometres (3.74 sq mi).

Podmoky lies approximately 27 kilometres (17 mi) north of Havlíčkův Brod, 49 km (30 mi) north of Jihlava, and 79 km (49 mi) east of Prague.

Sedimentary deposits of the stream Brslenka in the area between the villages of Podmoky and Kozohlody (1 km SW from Podmoky) were supposedly placer mined for gold from the Celtic times (i.e. in Czech republic 6th century BC).

Gold in the alluvial sediments was found as flakes (0.1 - 1 mm), sheets, nuggets and even octahedral crystals.

Other frequently found minerals are rutile, garnets (almandine-spessartine, pyrope), schorl, zircon, kyanite and fluorapatite.
