Yueyang Ag-Cu-Au intermediate-sulfidation epithermal deposit
Wulongsi granite, Jinlongqiao granite, Shimaoshan Group volcanic rocks 1,330 t Ag @ 137.6 g/t, 0.39 Mt Cu @ 0.9%, 8.2 t Au @ 0.7 g/t
Wulongsi granite (164 ± 1 Ma); Jinlongqiao granite (157 ± 1) Ma; Shimaoshan Group volcanic rocks (113–110 Ma); mineralization age: 91.47 ± 0.39 Ma (Ar-Ar dating of adularia)
Lenticular, hosted by a series of NW-trending listric faults developed in the unconformity between Neoproterozoic metasedimentary basement and the volcanic rocks.
The ore bodies in the Yueyang deposit can be divided into three segments. The lower segment, which forms the main body of the deposit, consists of multiple ore bodies with an overall NW trend, occurring as veins or lenses along fractures extending to the southwest or northeast. The middle segment is distributed within the Zijinshan granite complex, with ore bodies occurring as veins along fractures. The upper segment is controlled by the lithological interface between the granite and trachyandesite, also occurring as veins.
