S.E. in Grand Wash

A uranium/radium mine located in Capitol Reef National Park. Originally called the Nightingale Claim it located in 1901; operations terminated in the 1950's. Although the mine was one of the most productive of the Capitol Reef district mines, production was actually very limited. Mine was named after owner/operator M. V. Oyler who acquired the property in 1913.
