Paku mountain
The Tairua township (on the Coromandel Peninsula) and coastal area contain a number of altered, and sometimes silicified, outcrops of andesite and rhyolite. Of note is Paku Hill which has bands of spherulitic rhyolite.
Note that the well known mordenite locality is in the Hikuai area.
