Name:
Named in honor of Dr. Cristian Biagioni (b. 28 April 1981, Lucca, Tuscany, Italy), Professor of Mineralogy at the Department of Earth Sciences of the University of Pisa, Italy. Dr. Biagioni co-authored descriptions for more than 50 new mineral species. His research focuses on the mineralogy of Tuscany and systematic mineralogy, with a particular attention paid to sulfosalts. He also contributed to the discovery of the thallium-rich nature of a series of ore deposits in northern Tuscany, with the description of some Tl sulfosalts.
Isostructural with:
The TlSb analogue of dervillite. Chemically similar to weissbergite, pierrotite, parapierrotite, 'stibioellisite', and few unnamed species; also comparable to drechslerite.
