In honour of Nina Vasil’evna Petrovskaya (Нина Васильевна Петровская) (22 January 1910 – 15 March 1991), Russian mineralogist at the Institute of Geology of Ore Deposits, Petrology, Mineralogy, and Geochemistry, Moscow, Russia. She was a specialist in gold deposits.
