Structure: Deposit In Upper Plate Of Roberts Mtn. Thrust Fissures, Intrusion
Alteration: Intrusive Alterred And Replaced By Sericite, Pyrite. Intrusive Pyrometasomatized The Country Rock Locally Producing A Calc-Silicate Skarn, Hornfels And Scheelite, Molybdenite Mineralization
Deposit: Fissure vein of banded quartz and sulfides in granodiorite the mine is located near the summit of a granite ridge. It was worked during the 1870's & 80's before it lay idle till 1905. It produced $25,000 in 1906, 1907. The main shaft is down 250 feet with levels at 60, 115, and 215 feet down. In 1908 only the 60 level was accessible. Total production prior to 1910 was estimated at several hundred thousand dollars (emmons) discovery year: 1870's
Deposit type: Polymetallic veins
Development: WORKED IN 1870'S AND 1880'S; IDLE UNTIL 1905. PRODUCED $25,000 IN 1906-1907.
Geology: The orebody is a fissure vein of banded quartz and sulfides which strikes n70e, and dips 70n. The country rock is a coarse granodiorite composed of oligoclase, andesine, quartz, hornblende, and biotite. (emmons 1910). It intrudes chert, shale, quartzite, and minor carbonate units of the siliceous western assemblage paleotac rocks, which have been thrusted into their present position during the antler orogeny in devonian time
Ore(s): Fissure
