Large gysum mining area with stratiform deposits (anhydrite surrounded by gypsum); also minor gypsum in host rocks (greenish to violet schists).
Pb-Zn and Cu-As-Sb mineralisations were encountered during mining.

Two main areas: Katharinenfeld (deposit: Katharinenlager) and Eugenfeld (deposit: Eugenlager).
Smaller prospects: Alter Wellspacherbau, Alter Doppelreiter quarry, "Im Greis".

Mining activities between 1766 and 1968.
