The second phase represents the most significant mineral-bearing horizon and comprises two distinct sub-stages. The first sub-stage (Є2t2-1) consists primarily of schist with subordinate marble and skarn, occasionally interlayered with minor epidote-bearing plagioclase metamorphic granular rock, altered biotite plagioclase metamorphic granular rock, and metamorphic fine-grained quartz sandstone. Despite its complex lithology, skarn serves as the principal host rock for Sn and Zn mineralization in this deposit. The second sub-stage (Є2t2-2) is dominated by marble with intercalated schist and skarn, but contains fewer mineralized Zn-Sn ore bodies compared to the first sub-stage. Engineering work has identified 121 industrial ore bodies, with WL3, WL4, WL5, WL10, and W20 being the most significant. These ore bodies do not outcrop at the surface, range from 40 to 960 m in length, and measure between 0.68 and 24.23 m in thickness. Zinc grades vary from 2.65 % to 21.66 % (averaging 4.63 %), while tin grades range from 0.45 % to 2.41 % (averaging 0.58 %). The ore bodies trend north–south in plan view and display a stratified, imbricated structure in profile, dipping southwestward at angles between 6° and 18°. The WL5 ore body, a major focus of this investigation, is stratified within the upper section of the first sub-stage of the second phase of the Tianpeng Formation (Є2t2-1). It extends 720 m in length and dips westward at depths between 92 and 374 m, with an average dip of 26°. Skarn constitutes the predominant ore type, featuring a complex mineral assemblage. Wanlongshan can be divided into three main stages comprising six sub-stages: (1) Skarn Stage: a) Early Skarn Sub-stage:
b) Late Skarn Sub-stage:
(2) Hydrothermal Mineralization Stage: a) Quartz-Sulfide Sub-stage:
b) Quartz-Carbonate Sub-stage:
(3) Supergene Stage:
Reserves: 1.3 Mt Zn and 0.04 Mt Sn
b) Late Skarn Sub-stage:
(2) Hydrothermal Mineralization Stage: a) Quartz-Sulfide Sub-stage:
b) Quartz-Carbonate Sub-stage:
(3) Supergene Stage:
Reserves: 1.3 Mt Zn and 0.04 Mt Sn
