Intrusive bodies have compounds of gabbro to granite, and in most cases, monzonite. A whole rock feldspar–biotite Rb–Sr age of ∼ 33 Ma for the intrusions. Chah Shaljami is an upper part or lithocap of a porphyry Cu- Mo system. The quartz monzonite stocks affected by potassic alteration are characterized by abundant secondary biotite. In this deposit, the sericite-calcite-quartz alteration is overprinted on potassic alteration.
