In the area north of Schio and more precisely in the upper Valle dei Manfroni, as in other neighboring valleys of the valle dei Mercanti, there are ancient tunnels and mining works since 1668 A.C.
Between Mount Civillina and Mount Cengio porphyritic eruptive rocks (Upper Ladinic) are wedged between the limestones of Monte Spitz (lower Ladinic) which go as far as the head of the Valle dei Manfroni. They are Triassic eruptive rocks which have favored the phenomenon of a polymetallic vein primary mineralization in baryte gangue.
