Located 1.5–2-km south from a regional overthrust fault zone, at a second order shear zone, parallel to the main fault. Geological structure of the deposit is defined by the strata of amphibolite and amphibole schist with a composition corresponding to komatiite, komatiitic, and tholeiitic basalts, within a series of fine-grained muscovite–biotite and biotite schists.
