Ancient gold mines that worked on nine parallel gold-bearing quartz veins with NW–SE strike.
Activities in this larger area, which extends in a NNW direction into the neighbouring Mischlinggraben (Staubmann workings), date back to the 15th century. Today, the workings are long abandoned, but gold nuggets are still frequently found by panning in the Kliening stream, near Wiesenau. In the Mischlinggraben, additional minerals were recovered from the host rocks, mainly marbles.

East of the Klippitztörl pass, there are further workings and prospects (Buchbauer inn and Schafferkögele). Currently (2008) there are activities by a British company to restart mining with trial drillings in the Buchbauer inn area.

Located near (mostly north of) Kliening, about 2 km SW of Bad St Leonhard.
