Village Święcko (Germ. Schwenz) was well know for marble/limestone quarries in area of Garb Golińca - a mountain massif in the south-western part of the Bardzkie Mountains. Geologicaly part of the Kłodzko Metamorphic Complex (Proterozoic to Sylurian/Lower Devonian), build of phyllites, chlorite- and chlorite-epidote shales with inserts of crystalline limestone (calcite marble).
