Migmatitic feldspathic biotite–sillimanite schist.

Lake Hauglandsvatn is also known for explosion breccias in massive orthoamphibolite. In (roadcut?) exposures 10-20cm idiomorphic apatite crystals have been found, with albite and calcite in veins/vugs. In the heavily altered rock also epidote, prehnite, rutile and pumpellyite have been observed.
The explosion breccias are either related to the Late Precambrian Fen carbonatite episode (600Ma) or to a later Carboniferous explosive volcanic episode (350-300Ma). (Maijer, C. and Padget, P. 1987)
