Consists of several plutons, dikes and areas of extrusive rocks. The most substantial intrusion forms Mount Dromedary, which rises to c. 900 m, whereas Little Dromedary is a smaller intrusion lying between Mount Dromedary and the coast. Montague Island comprises a further intrusion located c. 7 km off the coast to the NE of Little Dromedary.
The Complex is emplaced into Lower Paleozoic sandstones and shales, against which the contacts are essentially vertical.
