Manziana is a town and comune (municipality) situated to the west Bracciano Lake.

Zambonini (1902) identified wavellite in a specimen mislabelled as "prehnite on trachyte from Manziana (Rome)", belonging to the collection of the brothers Corradino and Alfonso Sella of Biella (sons of the famous mineralogist, mountaineer, and politician Quintino). However, taking into account that wavellite on trachyte is known from Allumiere-Tolfa area, located ca. 20 km to the west of Manziana, and other specimens of wavellite have never been found in the area of Manziana, it is very likely that also the specimen studied by Zambonini has originated from Allumiere-Tolfa area (Di Domenico et al., 1993).
