Vote for your favorite mineral in #MinCup26! - Quartz vs. Asagiite
It's a classic vs a newbie as the most common named mineral in the crust Quartz is up against an exceedingly-rare sea foam-green mineral discovered just a few years ago Asagiite.

Porphyry copper

The Naruo deposit, located in the northern part of the Duolong ore district, is a large porphyry-breccia-type Cu-Au deposit discovered after Duobuza and Bolong deposits. The exposed strata in the deposit area mainly consist of the Lower Jurassic Sewa Formation (J1s) and Quaternary sediments (Q). The deposit is controlled by both Mesozoic magma and tectonic fault zones, with the porphyry and hypabyssal breccia closely associated in space. The emplacement ages of the related intrusions and mineralization are constrained to approximately 120 Ma in the Early Cretaceous. Magmatic rocks are mainly intermediate-felsic intrusions, typically present as stocks or dikes. These rocks also occur as clasts in magmatic-hydrothermal breccia which may provide favorable fluid migration channels for Cu and Au mineralization.
