Yeonhwa 1 Zn-Pb skarn


A lead-zinc mine owned by Youngpoony Mining Co. Ltd. Produced 90,000 tons of Zn concentrate & 11,000 tons Pb concentrates (1984).

Skarn-type mineralisation.

The Yeonwha I Mine largely comprises the Bonsan deposit, the Dongjeom deposit and the Taebaek deposit.

Several orebodies include : Wolam No.1, Wolam No.2, Wolam No. 3, Wolam No. 4, Wolam No.5.

The mine is near the northern margin of the Taebaeksan (Tabaegsan) basin or mineral belt.
