Goddard & Glass describes four separate occurences of radioactive "cerite" in this area, also called "Rusty Gold" locality. The mineralogically zoned REE-rich veins occur in pegmatite and aplite along the contact of a granite with schist inclusions. They were described as veins with dark black allanite borders and grey cerite-rich cores.
Stern et al. (2013), as well as Pavel M. Kartashov, have showen that the reported "cerite" is actually fluorbritholite-(Ce).
