An open pit phosphate (apatite), calcite and phlogopite mine in the Siilinjärvi carbonatite complex. Produced 5.8 million tons of ore (1984) (480 kilotons of apatite concentrates). Workings will ultimately be 1,250 meters long, 200 to 650 meters wide and 215 meters deep.
Located about 20 km north of Kuopio.
