Vote for your favorite mineral in #MinCup26! - Quartz vs. Asagiite
It's a classic vs a newbie as the most common named mineral in the crust Quartz is up against an exceedingly-rare sea foam-green mineral discovered just a few years ago Asagiite.

Skarn and porphyry type copper deposit.
The preliminary copper resource in the first mining area is estimated at 0.1 Mt, with an exposed area of approximately 0.98 km2 [14]. Strata exposed in the mining area consist mainly of the second and third members of the Upper Triassic Qugasi formation and the first member of the Tumugou formation, which are lithologically dominated by sandy slate intercalated with meta-quartz sandstone and marble. The orebodies are predominantly layered and lenticular, occurring in skarn at the contact zone between GDP and marble. This skarn accounts for 83.06% of the ore, with an average Cu grade of 1.34%. Copper mineralization also occurs locally in internal fracture zones of QMP and GDP, where the average Cu grade is 0.62%. Extensive wall-rock alteration in the deposit includes skarnization, marblization, chloritization, silicification, and hornfelsing.
