Köppen climate type:
It holds 1.55 Mt of ore, with an average Sn grade of 0.27 % and an average Cu grade of 1.24 %. The main lithostratigraphic units of the deposit are the graywacke and slate of the Upper Permian Linxi Formation and the rhyolitic breccia tuff of the Upper Jurassic ManketouO’bo Formation. The intrusive rocks in the mining area include Early Triassic granodiorite and Early Cretaceous K-feldspar granite. Fifteen orebodies have been discovered in the Yuanlinzi mining area. Four Sn–Cu orebodies (No. 1, 1–1, 1–2, and 1–3) and one Cu–Sn orebody (No. 2) are hosted in the Linxi Formation. Five Cu–Sn orebodies (No. 4, 4–1, 4–2, 4–3, 4–4, and 5) occur in the Upper Jurassic ManketouO’bo Formation, while the other Cu–Sn orebodies (No. 3, 3–1, 3–2, and 3–3) are hosted in the Early Triassic granodiorite. Orebodies No. 1 and No. 1–1 are the largest in Yuanlinzi. The No. 1 orebody is approximately 653 m long and 0.44–2.01 m wide (average 1.23 m), with a strike of 70° to 93° and a dip angle of 60°–68° toward the south. This orebody has a Sn grade of 0.03–0.61 % (average of 0.31 %) and a Cu grade of 0.55–1.96 % (average of 1.16 %).
