A suite of microscopic minerals found in 4 mm wide alpine clefts during the nursing home construction in 1967. Bedrock is the Ordovician Oronoque phyllitic schist, part of the Orange-Milford Terrane.

Description: Two parallel-intergrown, translucent, 0.8mm crystals found on a single specimen associated with the other common site minerals. Crystal faces are slightly pitted with sub-vitreous luster, dusted with a small amount of sugary white alteration. Shows no fluoresence. Specimen is in the Yale Peabody Museum collection.

Description: A single microcrystal specimen from the Bill Henderson micromount collection is held by the Yale Peabody Museum. Harold Moritz examined it on October 16, 2025. It consists of a 1mm cluster of very clear, pearly, colorless crystals sandwiched between some yellow mica in the typical Alpine-type clefts at this locality. The crystals appear rectangular and blocky (apparently orthorhombic) with some striations parallel to their long axes. Some kind of analysis was apparently done because a label on the micromount box reads: Lanthanite Stratford Conn Analysis indices fit A second small label says: n[?] 1.573 > 1.573 Are these RI values?
