Fe-Cu-Ni-mine. Opened 1803, worked intermittently until 1953.

Located 0.5 km east of Steckenstein.

According to the Wikipedia page (see link below, in German), "the mine's buildings came into possession of the "Lebenshilfe für geistig Behinderte e. V." in 1971".

According to Google, the address for this "registered voluntary association" (and thus the mine's buildings, or at least what is left of them) is "Friedrichstrasse 2, 57537 Mittelhof".
