Named for the town of Abu, Japan, in which the type locality is situated.
Chemically similar to galliskiite that, however, is hydrated.
Chemically the anhydrous F-analogue of gatumbaite.
The Ca analogue of synthetic SrAl2(PO4)2F2 (Le Meins and Courbion, 1998).
