Small subhedral to euhedral hexagonal platy crystals with a maximum diameter of 1.5 mm.
Place of Conservation of Type Material:
No defined type specimen.
Geological Setting of Type Material:
In pegmatite and in associated aplitic veins. Formed under conditions of oversaturation of Al by desilicification of the pegmatite system. Replacement and oriented overgrowths of spinel.
