A quarry in nepheline-albite pegmatite.
Note: This is not the famous giant nepheline crystal occurrence. See Davis Hill Locality ( https://www.mindat.org/loc-6969.html ): "Among the many holdings taken up in his name [Norman B. Davis], one became known as Davis Hill [Locality], and another the Davis Quarry, which was opened on a nepheline-albite-biotite pegmatite in the nearby York River belt…" (Moyd, 1990).
In 1940 Canadian Flint and Spar Company, Limited, under the direction of N. B. Davis, opened a small nepheline pegmatite quarry on lot 9, concession XIV, 2.25 miles (3.62 km) north of the East road. The quarry may be reached by road from the York River bridge at Egan Chute. Production of 944 tons of nepheline pegmatite was reported from the property between 1940 and 1942 when it was closed down.
