A beryl-bearing pegmatite located 4 km SSE of the famous Malakialina pegmatite, W of the city of Fianarantsoa in the southern part of the central highland of Madagascar. The pegmatite is traversing rocks of the Vohibory Group ("le Système du Vohibory").
Large nodules of uraninite with secondary U-minerals weighing several kgs were found here by the Commissariat à l'Énergie Atomique (C.E.A.).
Coordinates are not confirmed. Based on the map in Behier, J. (1960).

Geochronology
Mineralization age: Cambrian : 490 ± 15 MaImportant note: This table is based only on rock and mineral ages recorded on mindat.org for this locality and is not necessarily a complete representation of the geochronology, but does give an indication of possible mineralization events relevant to this locality. As more age information is added this table may expand in the future. A break in the table simply indicates a lack of data entered here, not necessarily a break in the geologic sequence. Grey background entries are from different, related, localities.
