Fe mining area (prospects in the upper Großau valley).

Four adits are known:
Fischer adit (started 1900, 280m long): N 47°41`44,5`` E 15°46`24,4``
Ritter von Prayer Unterbau (started 1843): N 47°41`56,3`` E 15°46`28,5``
Großauer (= Schmitten) adit: N 47°41`55,0`` E 15°46`38,8``
Antoni adit: N 47°41`56,6`` E 15°45`40,5``

A Raab adit ('Raabstollen') is mentioned by Haberlandt (1938)but belongs to the Knappenberg district.


Mining history similiar to the Knappenberg (Hirschwang) district, although (Fe) mining continued in Schendleck into the 20th century.

Mineralogically well known for small but beautiful cuprite crystals, chalcopyrite crystals, quartz crystals and arsenopyrite.
