Name(s) in local language(s):
Luftenberg (Steiningerbruch), St. Georgen an der Gusen, Perg, Mühlviertel, Oberösterreich, Österreich
Several long abandoned and strongly overgrown quarries in granite on the southern slope of Luftenberg mountain.
A large pegmatite in the uppermost quarry yielded, in the 1970s, multicoloured apatite (the majority being bluish) and nice colourless hydroxylherderite crystals.
The pegmatite is also known for pale yellow to pale bluish beryl crystals.
