Open pit gold mine, developed in the 1990s, and operated by Harmony Gold Mining Company.
Located 55 km SW of Mafikeng.

Stratabound ore body hosted by BIF (banded iron formation), and located within the Archaean Kraaipan Greenstone Belt.

The Kalgold, which is the only operational mine, has produced ∼ 34 t Au.
In 2023, the Kalgold mine reported 73.6 Mt of ore resource tonnages at 0.85 g/t Au (∼62.56 t) and gold reserves of 13.9 Mt at 0.88 g/t Au (∼12.2 t)
