Structure: Schistosity And Fractures, Folding Of Early Schistosity
Tectonics: Basin And Range
Commodity: Occurrence of platinum or platinum group metals in assays of ore from the tampa mine has been reported but is unverified. Lindgren and others, p. 132, reported that copper ore from the tampa mine was tested for platinum by ledoux and co., of NE W york, but none was found.
Deposit: Deposit consists of sulfide replacements and quartz veins. Oxidized ore is good but sulfide ore is too lo W grade to be mined profitably discovery year: 1880's
Deposit type: Epithermal vein, Sado
Geology: Greenschist is present nearby and tertiary conglomerate, sandstone, and basalt are associated with the deposit
