Köppen climate type:
The Heimulin ultramafic complex is a completely serpentinized body located within the Mian–Lue–Yang triangular region. It occurs as a lens-shaped body in the northern part of the Bikou terrane, trending NEE–SWW, with a length of approximately 8 km and a width of ~1.2 km. The surrounding strata are predominantly Precambrian metasedimentary rocks, mainly belonging to the Bikou and Hejiayan groups. In addition, nearby exposures include monzogranite, quartz diorite, altered diorite, and gabbro, with emplacement ages of ~836–855 Ma. Several serpentinized ultramafic lenses are distributed in this area, among which both the Heimulin and Jianchaling bodies host chrysotile asbestos mineralization. Notably, the Heimulin body is not only a large chrysotile asbestos deposit but also the only known super-large deposit of fibrous brucite worldwide.
