Mina La Herreria (Mina del Banco Central), Burguillos del Cerro, Badajoz

Iron mine located at 5.4 km NE from the village of Burguillos del Cerro on a small hill near the Cortijo de la Dehesa where a small quarry is observed ("corta") and a pit about 100 meters deep.

With genesis and mineralogy similar to other sites in the area (skarn), but with the difference of having suffered significant hydrothermal processes late breeders (aposkarn) with the transformation of the pyroxenes into amphiboles (uralites) and the occurrence of chlorite and epidote.
