A small quarry in granite, mylonitized leptynitic gneisses and biotite-sillimanite anatectic gneisses, near a contact with cordierite anatexites. In the quarry, a quartz vein is exposed, carrying arsenopyrite and bismuth ores. Located besides the D 16 road leading from Vieille-Brioude to St Ilpize on the eastern side of the Allier valley, just 50 m uphill from the Allier river bridge on the N 102 road.
