Arcadia pegmatite field consists primarily of a series of parallel, shallowly dipping (~10°) stacked pegmatites, which attain widths upward of 75 m. The pegmatites at Arcadia typically have very sharp contacts with the metabasaltic country rock, which forms screens a few tens of meters thick between pegmatites. The Arcadia pegmatites have a simple zonation, with an aplitic-layered border zone consisting of albite + quartz + muscovite and a core zone that consists of petalite, quartz, and potassic feldspar.
